L’Onglex sponsored the Ladies Tea Party held at the fabulous G Hotel just before the Irish Blog Awards last weekend. Human whirlwind, freelance web designer Sabrina Dent is the superb Tea Party organiser and not a woman easily fobbed off! When she asked us to sponsor the Tea Party and pointed out “that as a blog ourselves” we should attend the Blog Awards afterwards, how could we refuse?

The picture above showing WeddingDates.ie founder Ciara Crossan picking her colours says it all! The Ladies Tea party was a huge success and we were delighted to be associated with it. Special thanks to Phil Carew of Papillon Skincare Ranelagh for supplying some lovely Essie nail polishes at the last minute! We would also like to acknowledge the fantastic response and encouragement we got afterwards from so many lovely Tea Party folk including Lee Kutner, Rosemary McCabe, Jennifer Farley, Ciara Crossan, Elly Parker, Manic Mammy, Emma from NCIRL @mrs_bopp and of course the wonderful Sligo Model gang @ladydotty and @stranded_aoife. Final and special mention for “toyboy chaser” (in her own words!) Gannymar

Who would have guessed that L’Onglex would go so well with wine (or maybe even tea)?
We are also grateful to Sabrina for recommending that we attend the Irish Blog Awards. We came away completely wowed by the event and more aware of what a powerful positive force blogging has become in Ireland, despite all the pessimism. Great praise is due to Damien Mulley and volunteers who quietly and unselfishly take on the huge task of organising such a brilliant event.
