Is it too early for christmas wish lists …
Not being the sort of folks who blabber on about christmas until everyone feels like screaming we at L’Onglex had decided to put away the idea of running anything festive until the beginning of December …. until we saw this.
Yup. The above image is none other than a beauty themed advent calender and being slaves to all things slap we just couldn’t help but put this on the blog as soon as we laid eyes on this little beauty.
Chock full of 28 mini marvels including treats by Lancome, YSL and Kiels the L’Oreal the All I Want For Christmas Advent Calender is on sale at Selfridges in London.
If you are planning a shopping excursion and fancy picking one up L’Onglex will gratefully refund the outlay, thank you for your time and give you at least five bottles of our fabulous nail polish remover in return for you making our Christmas.
How likely it is that we can get our grubby paws on a box we cannot really say but since the box features eyeshadows, glosses and perfume it did occur to us that if we had a box not opening everything at once might be impossible as the suspense would kill us.
Better just stick to the chocolate !

Chock full of 24 mini marvels including treats by Lancome, YSL and Kiels the L’Oreal ‘All I Want For Christmas’ advent calender is on sale at Selfridges in London.

How likely it is that we get hold of a box we cannot say but since we have enough trouble with chocolate calenders as it is it might be best if we don’t get this after all - eyeshadows, glosses and perfume on a daily basis is surely a recipe for trouble !

When it comes to the small matter of celebrity endorsements we at L’Onglex are a difficult crowd to please. Yup, it’s not that we don’t care about celebs and the like but there’s always a nagging doubt at the back of our minds whether celebrities actually use the products they try and flog us or whether they’re simply in it to make a few quid.
That said, how could we be anything but absolutely delighted to bring you news that everyones favourite girl next door is the public face of Elnett Satin Hairspray. Yup, Chezza’s grinning mug is plastered all over the can and if that doesn’t make me want to rush out and get a bounty of bouncing brown locks as endorsed by a cheeky geordie popstrel I don’t know what will.
Add to our joy the fact that the cans are limited edition and we thought we’d tip you off so you could get down to wherever it is they sell them and buy a few tins immediately in case you should miss the boat. Who knows, in years to come they might even be antiques ?
Sarcasm aside, we have discussed this today and the general opinion seems to be that if L’Oreal offered us even a hundredth of what Cheryl is getting we’d sell them pictures of our Nan in her skimpies if they felt they could flog a few more cans !

Some very newsworthy news reached the longlex newsdesk late last night…It seams the folks in white coats over at L’oreal have discovered (after researching for ten years!) which genes and proteins are responsible for the youthful characteristics of skin.
Interested? We thought you might be………
Working with Paris St-Louis Hospital, L’Oréal determined that when put under stress certain skin genes linked to epidermal recovery were activated.
By understanding the way skin responds to external stress factors such as exfoliation,L’Oreal say they have been able to identify and develop new skincare ingredients that improve and help accelerate the epidermal recovery process.
“So what’s in the range?”I hear you cry..
Well, there’s a Youth Code Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream priced at €23.49 for 50ml, a Youth Code Rejuvenating Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream priced at €24.99 for 15ml and a Youth Code Rejuvenating Anti-Wrinkle Concentrate priced at €24.99 for 30ml.
The products are currently being rolled out in supermarkets nationwide….So will you be dipping your toe (or should that be face) in the water?

I think this means that it reduces redness …. I think !
